Firm admin users with Enterprise accounts can set up custom roles for their users and teams to manage access, rather than relying on the default permissions of each user license.Â
Â
- To locate the custom roles settings, click your profile icon at the top right.

Â
- Then, click Manage Account.Â

Â
- Click on the Roles tab.Â

Â
From here, you'll see all the default and custom roles you've created. You'll have the ability to create and edit custom roles as needed.Â
Â
Create Custom Roles
Â
- Click Create New Role.

Â
- Select the Base Role to populate the permissions you'd like to customize for the new custom role.Â

Â
- Enter the Role Name.Â

Â
- Review the available permissions and unselect any that do not apply to this role for each section. When you're finished, click Save.Â

Â
- Once the custom role is created, you can assign it to new members when setting up their account, or you can assign members from within the Role Edit screen.

Â
Edit Custom Roles
While default roles such as the Firm Admin and Advisor Role cannot be edited, you can edit custom roles as needed.Â
Â
- Click the 3-dot icon next to the custom role and click Edit.Â

Â
- Select the permissions to be included or unselect the permissions to be excluded. When finished, click Save.Â
