Understand the purpose and benefits of a 'Tech Preview' in Income Lab.

Income Lab loves innovation, and we work hard to get new, envelope-pushing features into the hands of our users. Sometimes, the best way to do this is to launch an early version of a feature so that real advisors can test it. With their feedback, we can learn whether the feature is working and quickly make tweaks to improve it. We call this a Tech Preview.
 
Here are a few things to keep in mind when using a Tech Preview:
 
  • Tech Previews are not guaranteed to launch as full features, or to launch in their initial version. The final version may differ markedly from the preview version.
  • Tech Previews may only be available for a limited time. Sometimes we only need a bit of testing, so the feature may appear and then disappear within a short window of time. So, use it while you can!
  • When eventually launched as full features, Tech Previews may only be available within certain versions or packages of Income Lab at an additional cost. This is especially true for AI Features and other premium features that carry substantial costs.
  • Tech Previews may still have bugs or performance problems. One purpose of the Tech Preview process is to test feature performance in real-world environments and make adjustments to ensure good performance in the final version. So if a feature is not performing well, please let us know, but bear with us as we make improvements.
