Free Trial Account User Guide
How to manage your free trial account

1. Learn the Basics
Start by reviewing our Help Center resources to understand how to build plans and use the platform:
You can also click the question mark icon (?) in the top-right corner of the app and select “Self-Guided Training” to access in-app guided walkthroughs.

2. Choose the Best Way to Build Your First Plan
For Pro Users:
Use AI tools to save time by uploading documents or transcripts. The system can build a plan for you in minutes, reducing manual data entry.

For Core Users:
Use the Quick Create option to quickly build a simple plan.

3. Join a Training Session
During your trial, you can attend a live group training session.
To schedule:
- Click the question mark icon (?) in the top-right corner
- Select “Schedule a Training”

4. Add Team Members
To add team members to your trial:
- Contact support at support@incomelaboratory.com
- Or inside the app:
- Click the firm icon
- Go to Billing and Payments
- Select “Contact Us”
- Or inside the app:
- Let us know:
- Number of seats needed
- Whether users are advisors or support staff

Once seats are added, you can:
- Go to the Members tab
- Click “Add Member” to create the user login
➡️ Important
All team members share the same trial end date as your account. Add them early so they have enough time to explore the platform. These new members will be included in your subscription cost, so if you need to remove a seat before your first payment, contact the support team.

5. Try Pro Features (Core Users Only)
If you're on a Core plan, you can test Pro features during your trial:
- Click “Try Pro” in the top-right corner to unlock Pro features (including AI tools)
To keep Pro features after your trial:
- Click “Keep Pro” to upgrade your subscription
Note:
- If you don’t select “Keep Pro,” your account will revert to Core features after the trial ends
- Upgrading will change your subscription to Pro pricing

6. Completing Your Trial
At the end of your trial, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription so you can continue using Income Lab without interruption.

Once you become a paying customer, you’ll also gain access to 1:1 support from our account management team, who will help guide you every step of the way.
Prefer not to continue?
To avoid being billed, you’ll need to cancel your trial before it ends.
Steps to cancel:
- Click the firm icon
- Go to Billing and Payments
- Select “Cancel Free Trial”
- Click “Cancel Account”
Important:
Canceling your account will immediately delete it, including all households and data created during your trial.

⚠️ Important Note: Who qualifies for the free trial?
The 2-week free trial became available to new users signing up after April 16, 2026, at 9:30 AM MT.
All users who initiated a one-month $20 trial prior to this date and time remain eligible to complete their trial period, and are not eligible for the 2-week free trial.
All new users signing up on or after this date and time are only eligible for the 2-week free trial, and are not eligible for the one-month paid trial.
